We got up at a decent hour in order to make our way to Accademia Gallery. We waited about 2 hours before finally getting in (we didn’t have reservation tickets. They sold out a few days beforehand when I tried to get them). We got to see the famous statue of David. Afterwards we made our way towards Uffizi Gallery. We stopped at a famous gelato place on the way (it had a chocolate fountain WALL in the background) before we finally made it to the entrance. One of us did the gallery and I made my way across Ponte Vecchio towards the Boboli Gardens. I followed google maps up a 40-50 degree incline hill for 1.3 km before finding out that specific entrance was closed and had to go to the bottom of the hill I just conquered to go to Pitti Plaza to enter through the opened entryway. I eventually got in and spent a few hours there. I eventually made my way back to Uffizi Gallery where we then walked to Hard Rock Cafe to grab our usual souvenirs before heading to the hostel. We chilled at the hostel for a bit over an hour while we waited for the restaurants to open back up for dinner. We had dinner at a local place a small walk from the hostel and enjoyed some pasta and wine. Afterwards we headed back to the hostel for good for the night since it’s going to be an early day for the next one. Today was my heaviest day of walking at a little over 60k steps (I’d been about 30k-35k previously). Tomorrow should be a little bit less, hopefully.
