On 8/24 we started our journey around 0300 in the morning. We stopped briefly by my mothers place to drop the dogs off (bless her heart and her dog sitters heart for watching a total of 4 dogs). Eventually we did make it to Key West around 1400 EDT on 8/25. We stopped for gas and the OG Bucee’s experience in GA on our way down. Though the drive was long, it wasn’t as bad as expected. Personally, my ankles (one of which is recovering from a pretty bad dislocation/torn ligaments) swelled up pretty bad, but otherwise were fine. Stopped for small snacks (incl. Raising Canes in Louisville, KY) on our way. Got hit with a small bit of rain when we got to FL but was otherwise nice and warm the whole way down. Got to experience Mallor Sqaure Sunset after eating at a near by bar, too.

The Jeep we rebuilt has held its own and no major issues thus far. We are in Key West for a couple of nights before departing to Key Largo for more adventures 🤘
