Got up super early again to catch a taxi at 0430 in the morning to get to the Madrid airport. Got there and got our bags checked without any issues and then made the long journey to our gate. 12 escalators and a train later we finally made it to our gate and waited to start boarding. We boarded and got going on time (for once) and we were soon off. It was a 2.5 hours flight, with a 1 hour time change (1 hour less that is). Got in just over 2 hours and deboarded. Made our way to baggage claim to get our bags and then got day tickets for London public transport. We took a couple tubes and then a 10 min taxi to the hostel that we are staying at. Did a bag drop, the headed out to see some of the sights. We started with just trying to find some breakfast and then headed to Kings Cross Station to see the Platform 9 3/4 store as well as find our meeting point for the next day. We then found a Pandora and grabbed our charms before we hopped back onto the tube towards the London Eye. The line was huge and timed tickets were sold out, so we went ahead and bought our express tickets for Monday so that we could do it with less stress. We weren’t all that hungry so we went back to the hostel, had a couple drinks at the hostel bar, and then relaxed the rest of the night as we were exhausted. Tomorrow is the Harry Potter Warner Bros. Studio Tour. I tried doing this when I was in Ireland in 2020, then COVID hit and that ship sailed. Nonetheless, it should be a fun & magical day!
