Harry Potter! Today was the Warner Bros. Studio Tour and it was awesome. Got to see real set pieces, wardrobes, and the buildings/large items that they had. They also provided insight to the animatronic pieces that appeared throughout the films and even had original scripts. Scale models were present and there was even a spot to get butterbeer! A lot of the information portrayed was stuff you can hear in director commentary and stuff of the sort, it was very cool to see it all in person vs. on the screen. We also got to see cast mouldings of actors for their prosthetic appliances. There was just so much to see and it was all a very unique experience not anything like I have done before. After the tour you end up in the main shop (there are a couple smaller ones throughout the tour for exclusive merchandise only available in that shop, not online or in any of the other shops) where we got a few items for ourselves and others. Then we sat and had a treat while we waited to go back to our bus meeting point to head back to Kings Cross. We got back and went back to the Harry Potter store at the station to grab an item that I liked, but did not also find at the Studio Tour gift shop. Afterwards we made our way to Hard Rock Cafe (yes, we ate here again) and grabbed the shirt and pin we normally do. Then we headed back to the hostel to start repacking items once again to fit into the bags accordingly and within the changing weight limits (some airlines allow 32kg and some only 23kg. It’s a pain). Laid back and relaxed the rest of the evening, enjoying the slower pace for the first time in weeks. Tomorrow will be the London Zoo and some sightseeing along with a ride on the London Eye. Hopefully our last day in London is eventful!
