Slow start to the morning, so we didn’t get a chance to really stop at Trevi Fountain while making our way to the Pantheon. We did our tour with the Pantheon and the church we were supposed to tour next was closed for restoration purposes, but our guide took us to a different church and was still able to give us a full history of all of that. Afterwards we took a stroll through the streets to the Spanish Steps and then we came back to the hotel to cool off and do our first round of laundry in the sink. Clothes are still drying, but should be good to go when we head to Florence on Monday. Earlier in the evening we took the metro and had our second cooking class of this trip. We learned how to make traditional and unique tiramisu and we also learned how to make ravioli. Unlike our first cooking class, which was all hands and no machines, this one showed us how to use a pasta machine. We used our dough to make a serving of fettuccine pasta and ricotta filled ravioli for us to enjoy. After helping a few fellow Americans out with the metro, we finally tucked ourselves away into the hotel to destress a bit more after the hectic past week we’ve had. Tomorrow we will definitely get to Trevi Fountain in the morning (and maybe I’ll take a night walk) and the zoo! They have a fairly small zoo here, but nonetheless, I must go to it. Tomorrow is supposed to be our hottest day yet (98 F) and that’s without being in the sun! I see a tan in my future.
