Rome, Day 4

Got up at a decent hour to try to beat most of the rush to Trevi Fountain. It was a little busy already by the time we had arrived, but we were still able to get some pictures without too many people in the way. Then we walked to the zoo (as anyone who knows me knows I have to go to a zoo) which was super small (less than 45 acres; Brookfield is over 230 acres for perspective). We walked the gardens a little bit as we made our way to the metro and head back to the hotel. Staying in the hotel to cool off (it was over 100 F), I went out alone after a couple of hours to explore a bit more. Got to see an old Spanish Castle, saw some more statues placed in the center of most plazas (I was handed a free martini in a van while visiting one myself), grabbed some gelato, and even came across the building that Romes Supreme Court uses. I eventually made my way back to the metro station so we could all meet up before heading to dinner at Sorbillo, which was a restaurant that was recommended by local Rome Italians that we had met in one of our cooking classes. The pizza we ordered was very good. This was our last day in Rome and will be heading into Florence for a few days next.
