Switzerland, Day 1

We had to get up super early in order to grab our taxi at 0430 from the canal to get to the Venice airport. We got the money the airport and got through security without any issues and then found out our connecting flight from Rome to Zürich was cancelled. After a lot of trying ti figure things out, we eventually settled for our 1605 departure time and got in 8 hours later than originally planned. When we landed in Zürich, we went to get our car rental (enterprise deleted our flight info when our flight got cancelled) and took some figuring out in order to get our car (slightly different than originally planned, but that’s okay). We drove just over 2 hours to our first hotel in Montreux (unfortunately we weren’t able to do Castle Chillion) and grabbed dinner before heading to bed. It had been a very long, stressful, and exhausting day. On top of it all, I have almost no service anywhere here, so I will update when possible for each day.
